Ideal Remodeling recently completed a two bathroom remodel in Ocean City, New Jersey, but that’s just half the story. Can you imagine remodeling 4 bathrooms in just a few months? That is exactly what these great clients had our team do! Two in their Collingswood residence then two at their Ocean City summer home. The Collingswood residence required very extensive remodels as the Ocean City home was not quite as extensive since it was built in the early 2000’s. The younger the home the less extensive the remodel.

For the Master, we removed the old dated fiberglass shower and installed a full tile shower with a 1” hexagon tile on the shower floor and larger format subway tiles on the walls. The floor tiles are a wood grain porcelain that have a grey weathered look to it. Since there was no linen closet, we added a tall cabinet for more storage.

As for the hall bath, the fiberglass tub and surround were replaced with a cast iron tub from Kohler. From what the team says, “It weighed one million pounds.” I think they are off a bit but it did take 4 guys to carry in the home. Larger format subway tiles were used again for the tub surround. This time having a more rustic finish. The tile floor is a wood grain porcelain with less grey this time. No linen cabinet as this bathroom has a closet but a vanity with drawers for storage was added. We even moved the toilet about a foot to make more space to bath the little ones.

Both of these bathrooms are now clean and bright right on time for this family to enjoy for many summers to come!
